I hadn't posted this earlier because for a little while I was dithering over whether this was too girly to use as a Valentine's day card. The dilemma was solved by making another Valentine's day card using a Let's Make Cards magazine idea and deciding that I preferred that in the end :)
The little stamp on the back is an Inkadinkadoo 'Handmade with love' sentiment.

Crafty Times
I've been making a few cards this week, I've now got valentine's day sorted out, a birthday card and a thank you card. I am unable to post these as at least one of the recipients may keep an eye on this blog and will therefore have to wait until they have received them before I post them on here :) But I am proud to say that I showed them to my housemates and one of them said they looked shop bought, yay!
On another note, I have recently joined www.busymitts.com and am finding it enjoyable so far!

The Kiss
Just realised that while I referenced the kiss in the previous post I haven't actually posted it here yet!
So, just for you :)
Not the best quality picture, I forgot to take one before I posted it to the boyfriend so had to take it hurriedly while at the his house so that I could post it here :)

Embossing
Just discovered embossing, been dithering for a while whether to try it or not and finally took the plunge and ordered a dovecraft heat gun. Just had a go and I love it! So simple, why the hell did it take me this long to try?!
So I promptly hopped on ebay and bought myself some clear and silver powder (I received gold and a mixed black and glitter one in another purchase) and also got myself a VersaMark pen so that I can emboss my own handwritten sentiments or doodles on cards, or just to make adding accents to cards a lot easier than manhandling an ink pad. I now have the pen, the large VersaMark ink pad and the smaller sized one which has not been opened yet. I loved the watermark effect it gives that I used in a previous post to produce a kiss, and now I can use it for embossing too which has been playing at the back of my mind for a few months.
Off to play!
